Adrien Sauvage on the road with Yasiin Bey (Mos Def)

Adrien provides the threads and Yasiin provides what he does best. Two of my good friends working together is an amazing thing, looking forward to the final product of all of  this. A great email to receive this morning.

Follow my fellow Ghanaian brother Adrien on Tumblr or his website to view his full collection.

MCQ BY ALEXANDER MCQUEEN SPRING 2013 LOOKBOOK

Even after a tragic passing, Alexander McQueen’s legendary and artistic talent is still thriving! The McQ Spring/Summer 2013 line is an eclectic mix of high-end and contemporary pieces with a twist and edge that would only be expected from the Alexander McQueen. Interesting prints, dyes, and trendy cuts - all for the fashion-forward guy who also enjoys a bit of comfort.

XÉNIA LAFFELY’S GRADUATE 2012 COLLECTION

Recent graduate, Xénia Laffely, recently unveiled her highly colorful and quite conceptual 2012 men’s collection titled “Bearded Faces”. Laffely toys with mixed media design references and wild illustration to appropriately accompany her cutting edge garments. Laffely says on the collection:

“Bearded faces. The father in classic suits and the religious man in ceremonial dress. They have haunted me through the process of this collection. I borrowed some attributes of each one, to build on their ashes a third figure ; my own icon, the unworthy son, rebellious, flamboyant. The witness of my emancipation.

I designed him a new skin, the beards have become prints, interspersed with embroidery of orthodox cassocks and woolen masculine suits. Then cut along the lines of classical suits. And I colored the scarves, leggings and jackets with Stabilo, to bring him to life. A graphic and sentimental character, wacky and unpredictable appeared.”
